Chamber Announces New Art and Food Festival
Tracy, CA– March 17, 2014: Tracy Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Taste of the Valley Art and Food Festival in place of the Tracy Bean Festival on September 6th & 7th in Downtown Tracy.
After
observing several years of declining attendance, the chamber Board of
Directors decided to give the festival a complete makeover with a new
name and new focus. The Taste of the Valley Art and Food Festival will
feature a fresh farmers market with crops grown in the region such as
beans, tomatoes, almonds, etc. In addition to returning vendors, new
attractions such as food tastings, art displays and sales, kids’
attractions, a wine and brewery section as well as 3 stages of live
entertainment.
“Our
ultimate goal with the new changes to the festival is to create more
opportunities for businesses and produce an event that this community
can be proud of. Our marketing efforts will increase throughout the
region to promote visitors from surrounding cities to enjoy this great
event in Tracy,” stated Chamber President, Sofia Valenzuela.
“We felt we needed to find ways to expand the reach of the event, not
only within Tracy but also outside the community by including expanded
food vendors and a farmers market element as well as adding art and
expanded cultural exhibits to the event,” commented Chamber Board Chairman Mike Donaghy.
The
Chamber has hired event planner, Grace Paget of Captivating Moments
Events Planning and Management to lead the efforts of bringing a new
festival experience to the community. Mrs. Paget will work alongside a
festival planning committee comprised of chamber staff and board members
to maintain existing relationships with vendors and recruit new
vendors to complement the event.

collaborate with the Chamber and lead the planning of this community
focused event. Our goal is to design a unique, appealing and profitable
festival that can demonstrate the richness in culture, artistry and
diversity that exists in San Joaquin Valley," commented event planner Grace Paget.
The
Taste of the Valley Art and Food Festival will continue to promote
Tracy by offering booths to local businesses as well as promote locally
grown foods. Vendor applications for this event will be made available
